Lancer Softball is pleased to announce the commitment of local standout Jacqueline Pento to the team's roster for the 2023-24 season.

Pento currently attends St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School and will be joining the Faculty of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor this fall.

When asked about her decision, Pento said: "After considering all the options for post-secondary and talking with my current math teacher and past Lancer, Amanda Simke, playing softball and furthering my education at the University of Windsor was an easy decision to make.  I am excited to be getting an education at one of the best human kinetics programs in Ontario and continuing to play the sport I love.  After practicing with the Lancer softball team this past season, I knew this was the right choice for me."
