GAME FLOW
Despite a tight defense from the Lancers, Algoma took an early lead over the blue and gold hitting from long range throughout the first quarter. A big three from Akot Aken with only a few seconds left in the frame tied the game up 23-23 after the opening ten minutes.

The Lancers continued to rain down on the Thunderbirds with threes, scoring nine points in a minute while building a six-point lead. A Thomas Kennedy dunk would get the fans, family, and alumni in attendance on their feet as the Lancer momentum seemed to grow stronger and stronger as the quarter progressed. The Lancers would eventually gain a double-digit lead over the Thunderbirds after some great ball movement led Ben Mascarenhas to the net for an elevating layup. With time running down, Justace Byam hit a three-pointer that would give the Lancers a 49-41 lead going into halftime.

Windsor continued to build on their lead as the second half kicked off. Another Kennedy dunk would again be a momentum builder for the blue and gold. Simon would then hit yet another three-pointer as the Lancers continued to improve on their lead. However, through forced turnovers, Algoma was able to dig themselves back into the game as the quarter was dying down. Brayden Amlin would give the Lancers an edge through a three-pointer as Windsor would lead by eight, 73-65 going into the fourth.

The fourth quarter started with the Thunderbirds hitting two threes that would cut the Lancer lead to two. The two teams began trading threes as the midway point of the quarter were reached. At this point, fans were witnessing a tight one-point contest with both teams on a hot streak. With both teams tied at 86, Simon would hit a major three to get the Lancers ahead. Another Simon three and a Shakael Pryce lay-up and one would give the Lancers a five-point lead with under a minute left. Windsor went on to win 98-92.
