Lancer soccer star Frankie Facchineri has been drafted by the Valour FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL).
 
Facchineri, and OUA first team-all star this season, is the first Lancer to ever be drafted by the CPL.
 
This past summer, the Windsor native spent the 2023 season with the Windsor FC, scoring two goals in 15 games.
 
He was named the defender of the year for League1 Ontario's men's premier division and was also named a league first team all-star.
 
Prior to the pandemic, Facchineri was named captain of the Canadian U17 team for the 2019 CONCACAF U17 championship.
