Box Score The University of Windsor Lancers men's hockey team opened their weekend with a 3-1 win against the York Lions on Friday (Nov. 14) night in Toronto, Ont.

Colton Smith opened the scoring with a power play goal on a heavy wrist shot from the blueline past Lions goaltender Dawson Smith, with
Noah Szabo and
Logan Linklater drawing the assists.
Dylan Schives doubled the Windsor lead early in the second period. The fourth-year defended scored from a sharp angle to net his fourth goal of the season. Ethan Strik responded for the Lions just minutes later, but the Lancers held on to their 2-1 lead after forty minutes.
Ty Toews put the game on ice late in the third period with a dazzling goal, finishing off a nice passing play with
Matt McNamara and Smith to end up in alone and beat Smith on a smooth forehand-backhand move.
