The Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Lancer goaltender
Jim Watt has been named the OUA Male Athlete of the Week, as announced by Ontario University Athletics (OUA) today.
The fourth year business major back stopped the Lancer men's hockey team to a weekend sweep over the visiting Lakehead Thunderwolves.
In the Lancers 5-1 win Friday night, Watt made 37 saves, and then turned around on Saturday to earn his first shut-out of the season making 42 saves in the 3-0 win.
Watt, an Edmonton, AB native, registered an outstanding 0.987 SV% for the weekend, making 78 of 79 saves over two nights.
