Box Score The Lancer Men's Volleyball team swept the host Laurier Golden Hawks 3-0 on Friday night on the road in Waterloo.
The Lancers earned set victories of 25-17, 25-21, 25-22 to capture the match.
Windsor is now 12-6 on the season and sits in fourth place in the OUA conference standings.
On Friday night, the Lancers jumped out to a commanding five-point lead as they put pressure on the Hawks, forcing a Laurier timeout at 6-1.
Shane Byrne tallied a block to keep the run alive as the Lancers extended their lead to as many as nine points at 23-12 before sealing a 25-17 first set victory.
In the set, Harrison Oake tallied 4 kills as the Windsor offensive attack looked sharp in posting a .316 hitting percentage in the frame.
After taking an 8-7 lead to open play in the second stanza, the Hawks battled back knotting the set at twelve a piece before Windsor got into shape and kept the lead.
The Lancers struggled on the serve in the set, giving up 6 service errors, allowing the set to appear closer than it was.
Windsor took control of the court near the end of the frame to come away with a 25-21 victory. The Lancers combined for 19 kills in the set, for a .527 hitting percentage.
In much the same fashion as they first, the Lancers steadily built their early third set lead to 12-8, before the Hawks called their first timeout.
Laurier briefly brought the game back into reach, but Windsor held their ground and defeated the Hawks 25-22.
The Lancers close out the regular season next weekend when they travel to Hamilton to face the McMaster Marauders on Friday and to Toronto on Saturday to face the Varsity Blues.
