The University of Windsor Lancers men's and women's track and field teams repeated as champions on Saturday as each team finished atop the team standings at the 2012 OUA Track and Field Championships at the Toronto Track and Field Centre.
The Lancers men's team finished with 153 points, 19.5 points ahead of the second-place Western Mustangs, for their 14th straight OUA title, while the women won by 13 points, also over Western, for their third consecutive banner, and seventh in eight years.

Nicole Sassine led the way for the Lancer women capturing four medals over the two day championship. In addition to the silver earned in the 4 x 400m relay and a gold on Day 1 in the 300m, she won a silver in the 60m and gold in the 4 x 200m relay.
In addition to the two medals in the women's 4x200m and 4x400m, the Lancers captured medals in all relays on day two of competition. The men's 4x200m team placed third overall with a time of 1:28.92, while the men's 4x400m team brought home a silver medal in a time of 3:19.10.
Aaron Bowman captured a gold medal in the men's 60m with a time of 6.70, while
Matt Walters brought home a silver in the men's 1500m in a time of 3:49.72.
In the field events,
Andrew Dandie finished second overall in the men's high jump with a height of 1.96m, while Jake Pfaff placed third overall in the pole vault with a height of 4.71m
On the women's side of the field events,
Kelly Morrison took home silver in the high jump with a height of 1.69m, while
Ami Schimanski placed third overall in the women's weight throw with a distance of 17.03m.
The top athletes will meet again in two weeks for the CIS championships, which are being hosted by the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, March 8-12.
