Lancer women's hockey head coach Deanna Iwanicka is pleased to announce the commitment of two standout recruits for the 2021-22 season.
 
Joining the blue and gold two seasons from now are forwards Jordan Lloyd of the Toronto Leaside Wildcats in the PWHL and Rylee Hogan of the Whitby Wolves Midget AA team.
 
Lloyd has played a key role in the Leaside offense through seventeen games this season.
 
Coach Iwanicka looks forward to Lloyd joining the Lancers in the fall of 2021. "Jordan has shown a tremendous amount of energy and engagement and is ready to take on the challenge of OUA hockey." Iwanicka said. "She gets up and down the ice with ease and adapts well to different game situations. She's got the grit needed on the defensive side, along with offensive instincts; a top end combination."
 
Lloyd is equally as excited and envisions herself bringing a positive attitude to the rink and working hard to become key member that the team can rely on. "I felt right at home as soon as I stepped on the ice with the team," said Lloyd. "I look forward to the opportunity to play OUA hockey and developing into an athlete that can make a real impact with the team."
 
Like Lloyd, Hogan will bring offensive skill and a good hockey sense to the Lancers in 2021. "Rylee has great puck skills and an offensive mindset to her game," said Iwanicka. "As a committed and driven athlete, we are confident that she will get stronger and be ready to play OUA hockey. 
 
"I like the environment and culture that is being built," Hogan commented. "During my visits to tour the campus, I was given the opportunity to be in the dressing room with the girls who were very welcoming, and I loved hearing about the plans that Coach Deanna has in place for her current and future teams. Being in that hockey environment made me feel excited for what's to come when it's my turn to play for the Lancers."
