Windsor, ON - The University of Windsor's Alumni Association and the Department of Athletics are pleased to announce the 2022 class being inducted into the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 2, 2022 in the gymnasium of the Toldo Lancer Centre as part of UWindsor's Alumni Week celebrations.

Star athletes from basketball, golf, football, and track & field/cross country highlight the inductees. Women's basketball standouts Miah-Marie Langlois and Jessica Clemencon, golfer Meaghan (Pototschnik) Whattam, football star Richard Holland and track & field/cross country runner Drew Macauley will be honoured as a part of this year's ceremony.

Jessica Clemencon (BA '12, MHK '14) played a major role in the Lancer women's basketball team's rise to success. On ten of the Lancers top ten all-time lists, Jessica is the Lancers all-time leading scorer, recording 1894 points over her five-year career. Named the Kathy Shields award winner as CIS rookie of the year in 2009-10, Jessica had a tremendous start to her career being named the OUA west division rookie of the year, to both the OUA & CIS all-rookie team, was named to the CIS championship all-star team and helped the Lancers capture a national silver medal. In just her second year with the blue and gold in 2010-11, the five-time OUA all-star and three-time CIS all-Canadian led the Lancers to their first ever CIS national championship, was named the Lancers female athlete of the year, and captured the BLG Award as the overall CIS female athlete of the year.

Miah-Marie Langlois (BComm '14) is one of the most talented student-athletes in Lancer women's basketball history. The Windsor, ON native led the Lancers to four straight national championships (2011-14), while also bringing home four provincial championships in her five-year career with the blue and gold. A two-time Banner Shield recipient as female athlete of the year (2011 & 2013), Langlois also received the DeMarco Award as the Lancers top female academic student-athlete in 2014. She went on to a long career with Canadian senior women's basketball program, representing Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Meaghan (Pototschnik) Whattam (BScN '13) was a three time OUA first-team all-star with the Lancer women's golf team. The Stratford, ON native made blue and gold history becoming the first Lancer to capture two straight OUA individual golf titles in back to back seasons in 20011 & 2012. Also named the team's MVP twice, Meaghan was named the Lancers DeMarco Award recipient as the top female academic student-athlete of the year.

Drew Macaulay (BA '98, BEd '99) played a key role in the Lancers cross country and track & field success. The recipient of the Olympic Shield, Drew was named a three-time OUA all-star in 1999, capturing gold in the 1500m, 3000m and silver in the 4x800m. A member of the OUA championship cross country teams and track & field teams from 1995-99, Drew was named a CIAU cross country all-Canadian in 1998, and a track & field all-Canadian in 1999.

Richard Holland (BA '86) had a solid career on the Lancer football defense. After being named the Windsor Lancers male rookie of the year in 1983, Richard was named an OUA all-star in 1986 & 1987. He was named a CIAU all-Canadian in the defensive back position in 1987, and was named the Lancer football team's defensive player of the year for three straight years from 1984-86.
