The University of Windsor Lancers cross country teams earned a pair of top-ten finishes at the 2025 U SPORTS Cross-Country Championships in Sherbrooke, Que. On Saturday (Nov. 8) afternoon. The men placed seventh and women ninth as they closed out the 2025 season on the national stage.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The Lancer women's team finished ninth on Saturday, finishing with 240 team points. The No. 5 nationally ranked group were led by fourth-year runner
Samara Quanz, who finished 14
th individually with a time of 29:02. Other Lancer results include
Joelle Olla in 35
th at 29:45 and
Natalie Fortier rounding out the top-50 with a 49th-place finish with a time of 30:06.
Sian Kniaziew and
Ainsley Rocheleau crossed the finish line with times of 30:43 and 30:56, respectively, followed by
Maren Kasunich at 31:09 and
Natalie Adam at 32:09.
MEN'S RESULTS
The Lancer men finished one spot ahead of their No. 8 national ranking that they entered the weekend with as their 216 team points were over 40 ahead of eighth-place UNB.
Jacob Fitzpatrick and
Noah Costa continued to pace Windsor like they have all season long. Fitzpatrick crossed the finish line in exactly 25 minutes to earn 15
th place in the country, with Costa just 17 seconds behind in 21
st.
Abdullahi Abdullahi made his mark with a 31
st-place finish with a time of 25:36.
Andreas Pardalis finished with a time of 26:16, OUA men's rookie of the year
James Wheeler in 26:30, and
Kade Campbell at 27:13.
