The University of Windsor Lancers golf teams concluded their seasons at the 2025 OUA Golf Championships in Oshawa, Ont. on October 18-19. The women's golf team placed third in the province, while the men earned a sixth-place finish.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The Lancer women came up with a third-place finish at Watson's Glen Golf Club, scoring a collective 483 (240, 243), holding on to a spot in the top three by just two strokes.
Ella Harris tied for sixth individually with a total score of 156, earning recognition as an OUA second team all-star. The first-year golfer finished just three strokes out of second place after shooting a 74 on Sunday and moving up 13 spots in the standings.
Kennedy Fremlin (81, 84) and
Marie Carunungan (77, 88) tied each other for 19
th, each with a score of 165.
Lauren Purves' 171 (86, 85) put her in a two-way tie for 25
th.
MEN'S RESULTS
The men placed sixth at Oshawa Golf Club, adding 310 strokes to their day one total of 296 for a total of 606 in a tightly contested group that saw the teams ranked third to eighth finish within eleven strokes of each other.
Alek Mauro shot 144 (73, 71) across both days to place in a tie for fourth, finishing just two strokes out of third places and six of first. His 71 on Sunday moved him up five spots in the individual standings. Mauro was named an OUA first team all-star for his performance.
Michael Berlingieri's 151 (69, 82) tied him for 19
th, and his day-one 69 was the second-best score of the day.
Jarrod Smith (78, 82) and
Tyler Hurtubise (85, 75) each shot 160. Hurtubise's 75 on day two allowed him to move up twenty spots in the standings.
Nicholas Tanovich rounded out the four Lancer men with a 163 (76, 87).
