Five University of Windsor Lancers football players participated in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl this week, including three Lancers that helped Team West to a 28-27 win on Saturday (May 9) afternoon at the University of Waterloo.

Nick Dimovski, Ahmad Taylor, Daniel Hector, Kayleb Parker, and Evan Martin represented the blue and gold in Waterloo, Ont. this week as they participated in practices, combines, and other evaluations. Special Teams Coordinator Alex Penz and Assistant Defensive Secondary Coach Mike Domanico were also selected to Team West.

In Saturday's game, quarterback Nick Dimovski completed 11-13 passes for 101 yards and threw a touchdown while also rushing for five yards on one carry. Receiver Daniel Hector had two receptions for 15 yards.

Ahmad Taylor had 2.5 tackles, two solo and one assisted, and was credited with a blocked field goal. With the game on the line and Team East kicking a field goal in an attempt to take the lead, Taylor broke through the offensive line and dove to get a hand on the last-second field goal attempt, deflecting the ball to preserve the Team West lead and secure the win.
