The Lancers are now 5-7 on the season and sit in 5th place overall in the OUA. They take to the ice next weekend in Waterloo, ON as they face off against the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday night and the Waterloo Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lancers played a tough game again but were unable to come away with a win, falling 3-1 to the visiting Queen's Gaels.
The first period was a wild affair as the two teams combined to score three goals in the first seven and a half minutes of action. Davis opened the scoring for the Lancers just 1:18 into the period when she beat Gaels goalie Mel Dodd-Moher for her ninth of the season.
Queen's would respond quickly and tied the game less than two minutes later when rookie Alana Smith scored her first career OUA goal. Conroy, who assisted on the opening goal, scored her first of the contest before the game was eight minutes old to put the Gaels in front.
From there, both Dodd-Moher and Lancer goaltender Jamie Tessier stepped up their play and kept the score 2-1 after two periods of play.
The Gaels would add an insurance marker early in the third period as Conroy scored her 11th goal of the season on the powerplay.
Dodd-Moher turned aside 24 shots for the win while Tessier stopped 37 in defeat.
