The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team turned in a dominating performance on Saturday night as they defeated the Brock Badgers 72-49 at the St. Denis Centre.

With the victory, the #7 ranked Lancers move to 8-2 in conference play.

On Saturday night it was the home team that got off to a great start as Windsor went on a 7-0 run midway through the first quarter to lead 22-12 after one. The Lancers outscored the Badgers 17-5 to end the quarter as they built the early 10-point lead.

The Badgers went on a 5-0 run to open the second quarter before the Lancers answered back with a pair of three pointers from Corey Boswell and Matt Handsor. Windsor held the Badgers without a field goal in the final two minutes of the quarter as they took a 33-23 lead into the break.

The second half was all Windsor as they outscored the Badgers 31-15 in the third quarter to break the game wide open. The home team opened on a 8-0 run and used a trio of three pointers from Matt Handsor to build a commanding 29 point lead after three quarters.

A small Brock run to open the fourth quarter was stopped by a huge Nigel Johnson-Tygther dunk as the Lancers cruised to the 72-49 victory.

In the win, Johnson-Tygther finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds while Matt Handsor chipped in with 12 points on 4 of 7 from long range. Isaac Kuon also had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in the victory.

The Lancers will be back in action on Wednesday night as they host the Waterloo Warriors at 8pm at the St. Denis Centre.
