Isaac Kuon's 30-point performance helped the Lancer Men's Basketball team earn a 91-90 overtime victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday in Waterloo.

With the win, the Lancers move to 15-5 and remain just a single game out of first place in the OUA West behind the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

On Saturday, both squads traded early baskets until late in the quarter when Laurier was able to build up a six point lead.
Going into the second frame, the Hawks held a 23-17 advantage.

The Golden Hawks continued to build on their lead in the second quarter as they increased their lead over the Lancers to 42-30 at the break.

Both teams exploded offensively in the third, with each squad picking up 26 points each. Isaac Kuon used some solid outside shooting to keep his team close with a quarter to play.

The fourth quarter was all Windsor as they outscored their opponents 26-14 and used a Nigel Johnson-Tygther dunk with only seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.

The overtime frame also belonged to Windsor as their size inside proved to be too much for the Golden Hawks, as they pulled out the 91-90 victory.

For the Lancers, Kuon led all scorers with 30 points while Nigel Johnson-Tygther added 23 points. Josh Collins also had a strong game as he chipped in with 10 points.

Windsor will look look to lock up a bye through the OUA West Quarter-Finals when they hit the road on Wednesday to face the Guelph Gryphons at 8pm in Guelph.

They will then return home on Saturday for their final regular season game where they will honour their graduating seniors. Please note the special tip-off time of 1pm on Saturday at the St. Denis Centre.
