Box Score The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team clinched the OUA West Division regular season title with a convincing 104-88 victory over the McMaster Marauders on Saturday afternoon at the St. Denis Centre.

The Lancers finish the regular season with an impressive 17-5 record and in first place in th OUA West Division standings.

They will receive a bye through the first round of the playoffs and will then host the OUA West Semi-Final next Saturday, February 27th at 8pm at the St. Denis Centre.

The win also came on Seniors Day as Coach Oliver's program recognized the contributions of seniors Matt Handsor, Corey Boswell, Nigel Johnson-Tyghter and Andre Smyth.

The seniors didn't disappoint on Saturday as all four made major contributions in the victory. Johnson-Tygther finished with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Handsor had 17 points on 5 of 10 from long range.

Smyth chipped in with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 blocks while Boswell added 5 points and 3 assists.

On Saturday, Windsor jumped out to an early lead as they used a balanced offensive attack to take a 30-22 lead after one quarter.

McMaster cut into the lead in the second and third quarters, thanks to guard Tyrell Vernon who knocked down a number of long range baskets. He fnished with a game-high 27 points on 9 of 18 shooting to keep his team in the game.

However, the Lancers responded in the fourth quarter with an explosive scoring outburst as they recorded 42 points in the final frame to seal the 104-88 victory.

Rookie Enrico Diloreto also had a strong game for Windsor as he had 20 points on an efficient 7 of 11 shooting and added 4 rebounds.

With the regular season division title now clinched, the Lancers will wait and see who their next opponent will be after Wednesday's OUA West Quarter-Finals.
