On Wednesday night. McMaster's Scott Brittain stole a Windsor inbounds pass and raced the length of the floor to score the winning basket at the buzzer to upset the #6 Lancers at the Burridge Gym.

The Marauders led most of the contest including at half time when they headed to the locker room ahead, 42-41.

The home team maintained their lead until eight minutes remaining in the ball game when Windsor, on the strength of some hot shooting by Monty Hardware, retook the lead. The two teams traded baskets, and the lead, for the remainder of the contest.

A Hardware three-point basket at 2:07 in the fourth quarter gave Windsor the lead, but Victor Raso answered with a three of his own that tied the game at 81-81 with 1:50 remaining.

Coming out of a time out with 15 seconds left and the ball, McMaster set up one final play but couldn't enter the ball cleanly giving Windsor the ball back.

With the Lancers coming out of timeout of their own with 8 seconds left on the clock, their inbounds pass was stolen away by Brittain and he quickly threw down a dunk with time running out. The Lancers took a three at the buzzer for win but it didn't go to give McMaster the win.

Monty Hardware topped the Lancers with 20 points, most of which came in the fourth quarter. Isaac Kuon added 18 points in only 19 minutes due to foul trouble. Josh Collins had 13 points and seven assists in the loss.

The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when then travel to Waterloo, Ontario to take on the Waterloo Warriors. Tip-off is set for 4pm.
