Box Score
The Lancer Men's Hockey team got back to their winning ways with an impressive 4-0 shutout victory over the Brock Badgers on Friday night in St. Catherines.

Brock started aggressively in the opening frame, outshooting the Lancers 14-4, but could not solve Windsor starting goaltender Jim Watt as the period ended in a 0-0 tie.

Windsor opened the scoring 8:28 into the second period when Steve Ferry beat Brock goaltender Kurt Jory with a low wrist shot through traffic for the 1-0 lead.

With just over five minutes left in the second, Windsor's Scott Gillis made it 2-0 registering just his second goal of the campaign. Danny Anger and Anthony Trapper added assists.

Brock had one scoring chance in the second when Josh Schram forced a turnover at the Lancer blue line and walked in all alone on Watt who made a nice pad save. Watt collected 29 saves in the opening two periods.

With less than a minute left in the second period with the man-advantage, the Lancers Kyle Lang and Mark Thorburn would find Kyle Nishizaki on the side of the net who buried it past Jory to make it 3-0 Windsor after forty minutes.

After Brock had a goal called back midway through the third period, Windsor would answer at the other end. Ryan Caicco won a face-off back to Mike Lombardi who blasted a slapshot top shelf to secure the victory.

Watt recorded 35 saves for his second shutout of the season and seventh of his career. Jory added 21 saves in the loss.

Both teams combined for 74 minutes in penalties, which included five 10-minute misconducts. Windsor was 1-for-5 on the powerplay with Brock going 0-for-1.

Windsor will look to built on the win when they face-off against the Guelph Gryphons tonight at 7:30pm back at home at Windsor Arena.
