University of Windsor Lancers men's hockey head coach
Kevin Hamlin has announced the addition of Noah Nelson, a goaltender from the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL, to the 2026-27 recruiting class.
Nelson recorded a 3.13 goals against average and a .905 save percentage in 32 games with Calgary, winning 15 and earning two shutouts. He also won one of two playoff games.
"Noah is an athletic goaltender that understands the value of work ethic," said Hamlin. "He will push hard for a spot in the lineup. I'm really excited to bring Noah into the Lancer family."
Nelson, a Calgary native, spent three seasons in the AJHL between the Olds Grizzlies and Fort MacMurray Oil Barons, and a one game stint in the CCHL with the Navan Grads, before closing out his junior career with one year in Calgary. He played in 89 AJHL games, winning 26.
Nelson rounds out men's hockey's recruiting class for 2026-27, a group that features six skaters and Nelson between the pipes.
"I couldn't be more pleased with the recruiting class headed into the 2026-27 season," said Hamlin. "These men will be competing for important ice on this year's team. I am confident that they understand our 'earn what you get' environment as they are among the best character individuals available. I am really excited about the future of Lancer hockey."
