Box Score 2 The No. 6 ranked Lancer men's basketball team lost a pair of games over the weekend to the Ottawa Gee Gees and No. 1 Ravens in Ottawa.
The Lancers lost a close 69-65 game to the host Gee Gees on Friday night.
The Lancers came out strong in the first quarter, outscoring the host team 16-7 in the opening ten minutes.
Ottawa seemed to find their footing in the second half as they narrowed the scoring gap. Windsor held a four point 32-28 lead at the half.
In the third, the Gee Gees again outscored the Lancers to build a small three point lead heading into the final quarter,
The fourth was an intense match ten minutes saw both teams make some great plays as they fought for the win.
With a one point edge on the Lancers in the fourth, the Gee Gees came away with the 69-65 win.
Enrico Diloreto led the Lancers with 22 points.
On Saturday against Carleton, the Lancers struggled against the nation's top team falling 95-66.
The Ravens held a 47-35 at half and continued to build on it in the third quarter, outscoring the Lancers 28-16. Windsor was unable to get back in the game as Carleton earned the 29-point victory.
The Lancers were outrebounded by the Ravens 35-25 in the loss.
Diloreto and Lien Phillip led the Lancers with 19 points.
Windsor will head to Toronto next weekend to play the Ryerson Rams on Friday and the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday.
