Lien Phillip's 20 point performance, the Lancer men's basketball team defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks 77-69 on Saturday afternoon in Waterloo.
The Lancers currently sit in fourth place in the OUA West division with a record of 13-7.
Windsor held a 10 point lead after the first quarter, but the Hawks battled back in the second to hold a narrow 33-31 lead heading into the half.
In the third, the Lancers poured in 21 points to hold a 15 point advantage heading into the final quarter. The Golden Hawks put up a strong effort in the fourth, narrowing the Lancers lead to just four but a pair of key free throws from
Josh Collins of Toronto, put the game out of reach giving the Lancers the win.
The Lancers shot 42 percent from the floor compared to Laurier's 33 percent, including just 23 percent from three point range.
Phillip led the Lancers with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Collins chipped in with 19 points.
The Lancers will hit the road for their fourth straight game on Wednesday when they travel to Brock to face the Badgers.
