The Lancer women's hockey team lost a 5-0 game to the visiting Western Mustangs on Saturday afternoon at South Windsor Arena. 

The loss drops the Lancer record to 3-3-1 on the year, while the No. 7 ranked Mustangs move to 6-1. 

After allowing two Western goals in the opening frame, the Lancers played a strong second period and kept the Mustangs off the board. However, the Lancers were unable to score themselves as the Mustang goaltender held firm in net. 

In the final period, the Mustangs added three more goals to close out the scoring and take the 5-0 win. 

Windsor will hit the road for their first road trip of the season next year. The Blue & Gold will face the Ryerson Rams on Friday night at 7:30pm and the Toronto Varsity Blues at 4:00pm on Saturday.
