Box Score In a battle of two nationally ranked teams, the No.7 Lancer men's basketball team dropped a tight contest to the No. 6 Ryerson Rams 84-79 on Friday night at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.

Enrico Diloreto led the Lancers with 20 points, while
Lien Phillip and
Khalid Abdel-Gabar each had 17, with Phillip completing the double-double with 14 rebounds.

With the loss the Lancers are 2-3 on the season, and are tied for second place in the OUA west division with the McMaster Marauders.

In a tight contest from start to finish, the Lancers were able to build a 41-35 first half lead shooting 40% from the field in the first twenty minutes of play.

In the third quarter, the Rams went on a 10-4 run to tie the game with seven minutes to go in the quarter and held a four point lead heading into the final frame.

Ryerson then built up a 14-point lead before the Lancers battled back and made it a seven point game. From there the teams once again traded points into the final stretch, with the Rams pulling ahead for the win on free throws.
