Box Score OTTAWA- The Windsor Lancers men's basketball team dropped their second game of the weekend, falling 96-85 to the CIS No. 3 ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday night at Montpetit Hall.
With the score close heading into the final period, the Gee-Gees managed to rail off 31 points in the final period to win their second game of the season. The loss drops the Lancers to 0-2 on the year.
Enrico Diloreto tallied a team-high 29 points in the loss, while
Josh Collins added 20 points and seven rebounds.
Lien Phillip picked up 12 points with
Evan Matthews grabbing eight on the evening. Johnny Berhanemeskel recorded a game-high 34 points for the Gee-Gees.
Windsor shot just over 45% from the field compared to 49.3% from Ottawa, who outrebounded Windsor 38-35.
The CIS No. 6 ranked Lancers will look to get in the win column beginning next Friday and Saturday in their home opening weekend. The men will welcome the York Lions and Queen's Gaels on Friday and Saturday respectively. Both games will tip-off around 8:00 p.m.
