Box Score HAMILTON, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers men's basketball team dropped a close 70-68 decision to the OUA West division-leading McMaster Marauders on Saturday afternoon at Burridge Gymnasium.
In a battle of the conference's top West squads where there were 10 lead changes throughout, the No. 8 Marauders (9-3) were able to squeak by the No. 10 Lancers (7-5) to take a two-game lead on Windsor in the race for first place in the division.
Enrico Diloreto led the men with a game-high 26 points, and dropped 5-of-9 jumpers from beyond the arc for the Lancers, while
Lien Phillip recorded his fifth-straight double-double and eighth of the season, tallying 17 points and 13 rebounds in a losing cause for Windsor.
Alex Campbell and
Khalid Abdel-Gabar added nine points each in the loss.
Windsor shot 36.2% from the floor, while the hosts garnered a 39.4% efficiency. The glass game was nearly a stalemate, as the Marauders edged out the Lancers by a rebounding count of 42-41. Neither side enjoyed more than an eight-point advantage throughout the tightly contested match-up. Taylor Black and Aaron Redpath each recorded a team-high 19 points to help the Marauders notch their sixth-straight conference victory.
The Lancers return to the St. Denis centre on Wednesday evening to host the Guelph Gryphons. Tip-off takes place at 8:00 p.m. and the game will be available live at
