No. 9 Lancers best Mustangs, win third straight

Enrico Diloreto had a game-high 16 points in Windsor's win over Western on Wednesday.
Box Score LONDON, Ont.- Enrico Diloreto and Lien Phillip each tallied a double-double, and the No. 9 Windsor Lancers men's basketball team recorded a 67-50 victory over the Western Mustangs at Alumni Hall on Wednesday night.

The Lancers (10-5) notched their third-consecutive victory with the win, while the Mustangs (6-9) had their four-game winning streak snapped at the hands of the visitors. Enrico Diloreto led all players with 16 points in the win. Playing in his hometown, the London Beal graduate notched his first double-double of the season, picking up 11 rebounds in the victory. Khalid Abdel-Gabar, Bradford Parker and Alex Campbell each added nine points in the win for Windsor. The Lancers were 40% from the field compared to 30% from the hosts, and outrebounded Western 49-28.

Meanwhile, Lien Phillip continues to make a bid for a second-straight OUA West division MVP, recording his eighth straight double-double with 15 points and a game-best 13 rebounds. The St. Mark's, Grenada native was 50% (7-of-14) from the floor, and currently leads the CIS in rebounding, averaging 12.4 boards per game. He is third in the nation with 48 offensive rebounds, and amongst the top 30 in scoring with 15.9 points per game. His point and rebound production are currently more than his 2012-13 campaign where he was also named a CIS all-Canadian.

The Lancers, who sit second in the West, will look to match a season-high with their fourth straight victory on Saturday afternoon at the St. Denis Centre where they will welcome the Waterloo Warriors (2-13). Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. and the game is available live at GoLancers.TV.
