The Lancer track & field team brought home four more medals on day two of the OUA track & field championships on Saturday in Toronto.

Overall, both Lancer squads finished fifth overall in the team standings with the men racking up 71.50 points and the women collecting 59 total points. The Guelph Gryphons took home both championship banners after dominating performances on both sides.

Lancer rookie
Mandy Brunet brought home the Lancers lone medal on the women's side. The first year human kinetics major placed third overall in the women's with an impressive jump of 11.90m to claim her first ever OUA medal.

On the men's side
Anthony Atkinson won his second medal of the championships with a third place finish in the men's shot put. Atkinson's throw of 14.93m was a new personal best and ranked him tenth overall in the country.

Sesan Akerewusi also had a personal best day in the men's 60m. The veteran sprinter ran a 6.85 to claim bronze in the event.

The men's 4x200m team also claimed bronze with a time of 1:28.59.

The Lancers will now break until the U SPORTS Championships March 7-9. 2019 at the University of Manitoba.
