The University of Windsor Lancers track and field team took home five more medals on day two of the 2026 U SPORTS Track & Field Championships, including schools records by
Isabella Goveia and
Tristen Miscia.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The 4x800m team of
Natalie Fortier,
Ella Heredi,
Joelle Olla, and
Isabella Goveia, ranked first in the country entering the weekend, cemented their status by winning gold with a time of 8:47.62.
Isabella Goveia set a new Lancer best in the 1000m with a 2:46.26 time, winning the bronze medal in the process.
Mikayla May placed fourth in long jump with a distance of 6.03m and
Samara Quanz had a 10:05.83 time in the 3000m to place sixth.
MEN'S RESULTS
Noah Costa won gold in the 1000m with a time of 2:23.45 to earn the title of best in the country. He followed it up with another medal in the 4x800m relay, as he won bronze along with
Kai Luong,
Abdullahi Abdullahi, and
Noah Waldmann with a time of 7:30.20.
Tristen Miscia earned a silver medal in the heptathlon with a total of 5281 points, breaking the Lancer school record in the process. He won the heptathlon 1000m in 2:46.41, and improved upon his third-place standing from the end of day one for his second medal in the event in the past two seasons.
AJ Stanat placed fourth in weight throw with a 17.49m throw, and
Zach Clarke followed close behind in sixth at 17.27m.
Caleb Keeling placed seventh in high jump, clearing the bar at 2.00m.
The Lancer men currently sit third in the overall standings with 33.5 points, 10.5 off of second place and 11.5 out of first.
