The University of Windsor Lancers women's track and field team won overall bronze on the final day of the 2026 U SPORTS Track & Field Championships in Winnipeg, Man. as the Lancers grabbed five individual medals on Saturday, March 7.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The Lancer women end the meet with 70 points to win national overall bronze, their first team medal since 2018.
Isabella Goveia continued to have a historic meet with a gold medal in the 600m, breaking the Lancer school record with a time of 1:28.56 for her second program record in two days.
Mikayla May won silver in triple jump with a 12.82m mark, followed by a bronze from OUA and U SPORTS Community Service Award winner
Chloe VidAmour who had a leap of 12.15m.
The 4x400m relay team of
Kelis Daye,
Maya Metivier,
Nadia Pupatello, and Goveia won bronze with a 3:46.93 time to conclude a remarkable season on the track.
MEN'S RESULTS
AJ Stanat capped his consistently elite performances this season with a national gold in shot put, tossing for 18.24m for first place.
The 4x400m team of Holly, Duncan,
Kai Luong, and
Noah Waldmann finished sixth in 3:17.42. The 4x200m squad of
Cameron John-Dunslow,
Ryan Holly,
Will Duncan, and
Brett Beazley placed seventh with a time of 1:28.27.
Abdullahi Abdullahi placed ninth in the country in the 1500m, crossing the finish line in 3:52.97.
