The University of Windsor Lancers track and field team kicked off day one of the 2026 U SPORTS Track & Field Championships at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Man. on Thursday, March 5.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The Lancer women won two bronze medals on the first day of competition.
Jordana Badley-Castello earned her medal in weight throw with an 18.88m mark and
Grace Elford made it on the pole vault podium with a 3.90m jump.
Riley Robitaille placed fifth in the pentathlon with 3652 points, including a third-place finish in shot put with an 11.09m throw and third place in the 800m with a time of 2:22.20.
Isabella Goveia won the 600m prelims with a time of 1:30.11 and will have the opportunity to compete for a medal with five other runners on Saturday (Mar. 7) at 2:15 p.m. EST.
The Lancer women have the third-most team points through the first day at U SPORTS with 16.
MEN'S RESULTS
Tristen Miscia currently sits third in the heptathlon with a score of 2986, less than 300 points out of first place. He won shot put with a 13.97m throw and placed third in long jump at 7.00m. The 60m hurdles, pole vault, and 1000m take place tomorrow afternoon to decide the heptathlon champion.
The 4x200m relay team of
Cameron John-Dunslow,
Ryan Holly,
Brett Beazley, and
Will Duncan placed eighth in the prelims with a time of 1:28.10 and qualified for the finals on Saturday afternoon.
