WINDSOR, Ontario – Windsor Lancer baseball head coach Frank Jeney, announced the first members of the Lancers' 2023 commitment class, adding eight student-athletes for the 2023 roster.
Six of the eight student-athletes are local to Windsor-Essex, with the other two coming from Waterloo and Vancouver.
While more players will be added to the 2023 Lancer Baseball roster, the first eight members of the class include James Jeun (Brennan HS, LaSalle Titans) Jack Marcotte (Villanova HS, Windsor Selects18u), Jenson Robinson-Evans (Massey HS, LaSalle Titans), Tennyson Seguin (Villanova HS, Tecumseh Thunder 18u), Lucas Smith (Kitsilano HS, Vancouver Community Mounties), Matteo Tedesco (Villanova HS, Tecumseh Thunder 18u), Jonah Thomson (Massey HS, Windsor Hawks), and Stephen Whalen (Waterloo University, Kitchener Panthers IBL)
"We are extremely excited about this first group of additions to the Lancer Baseball program" Jeney said. "This class is very balanced thus far, adding to all aspects of our lineup, and all will have a chance at contributing immediately. It will be exciting to watch their progress as they begin to have an impact here at the University of Windsor."
Lancer baseball graduated 11 student-athletes after the 2022 season, that saw the Lancers finish 7-15 for the year.
