Â
Friday – Game 1
In the first game of the doubleheader under the lights on Friday night, Brock came out of the gates ready to play and scored a run in the top of the 2
nd inning. The Lancers responded with 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the inning on singles from
Breanna Lee,
Lauren Hickey,
Cylee Hickey, and a double from
Aubrey Johnson to take the lead. A pitcher's duel ensued in which neither team could cash another run until the top of the 7
th inning when the Badgers took advantage of a couple errors to take the lead heading into the bottom of the final inning. The Lancers could not regain the lead and dropped the game 3-2.
Allison Dufour was on the mound for the Lancers and gave up 0 earned runs and only 5 hits over 7 innings of work.
Between games, the Lancers honoured Dufour and
Aubrey Johnson as their graduating seniors' Dufour graduates with a degree in psychology and Johnson with a degree in developmental psychology.

Friday – Game 2
The Lancers were looking for redemption in the second game of the doubleheader as the wind and cold temperatures wreaked havoc on both teams.
Emma Hanley and
McKay Colombe singles as well as a walk drawn by
Soleen DePape allowed the blue & gold to strike first and take an early lead. The Badgers responded in the bottom of the first with a monstrous homerun to take over the lead. The back and forth continued as
Aubrey Johnson and
Jayde Melhuish-McGahan hit singles and
Alexis Russell cashed both on a hard-hit double to right-centre field. An
Emma Hanley triple and
Soleen DePape RBI in the third inning added to the Lancer lead to make the score 4-2. Brock scored another run in the bottom of the 5
th, but the blue & gold did not want to leave this second game open to a Badger comeback and tacked on a couple more runs in the sixth inning on singles from
Sasha Vigneux,
Jacqueline Pento, and
Jayde Melhuish-McGahan to make the final score 6-3 for the Lancers.
Jayde Melhuish-McGahan earned the win from the circle as she gave up 7 hits and 2 earned runs over 7 innings.

Jayde Melhuish-McGahan homerun, an

Â
Saturday – Game 2
The Lancers were not done proving why they are the top team in the league and scored hard and fast in the second game of the doubleheader. Tia Nelson going 2 for 2 at the plate with 3 RBIs and
Cylee Hickey adding another 2 RBIs.
