University of Windsor Lancers football players Weagbe Mombo and Harrison Daley have been invited to the CFL National Combine, while Colby Ginn, Liam Talbot, Tyriq Quayson, Robert Springer, and Ethan John have been invited to the CFL Invitational Combine. These two events will allow these Lancers to showcase their skills in front of CFL coaches, general managers, and player personnel.

Mombo and Daley will head to Edmonton, Alta. on March 27-29 at the Commonwealth Field House and Foote Field Bubble for the CFL National Combine.

Mombo, a 6-foot-0 running back, rushed for 703 yards and three touchdowns on 77 carries in eight regular season games in 2025 and added 161 rushing yards in the playoffs, including 107 and the game-winning touchdown in the quarter-finals against Ottawa. Since his debut in 2022, Mombo has played in 23 games, rushing for 1274 yards. He was named the University of Windsor's Super Sophomore Award in 2023 for his 613 all-purpose yards in eight games. He was named an OUA second-team all-star this season.

Daley, a 6-foot-4 defensive back, was named an OUA second-team all-star for his 19 solo and 27 total tackles in the regular season. Since 2021, Daley has dressed in 30 regular season games, recording 58.5 total tackles and has been a key member of the blue and gold's secondary.

Ginn, Talbot, Quayson, Springer, and John will head to Waterloo, Ont. on Friday, March 6 for the CFL Invitational Combine at the Feridun Hamdullahpur Field House at the University of Waterloo. These individuals will have the opportunity to be selected for the CFL National Combine in Edmonton.
Ginn, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has played in 23 regular season games for the Lancers since debuting in 2022, making a total of 63 receptions for 904 yards and five touchdowns. Playing in all eight regular season games in 2025, he had 382 receiving yards on 28 receptions. He finished the season with a receiving touchdown in each of the last three games, including one in each playoff game.

Talbot, a 6-foot-1 running back, made his season debut midway through the campaign and put up 120 rushing yards on 28 carries before breaking out in the playoffs with an 86-yard game in the quarter-final against Ottawa with a touchdown, and an 85-yard performance in the semifinals verus Queen's. Since his debut in 2022, he has played in 18 games, accumulating 465 rushing yards on 64 carries.

Quayson, a transfer from Laurier, caught 20 passes for 270 yards while also rushing for 78 yards. He also returned five kickoffs for 98 yards this season. Quayson had a season-high 82 all-purpose yards on Sept. 13 in a 29-13 win against McMaster. The 6-foot-2 receiver played 17 regular season and playoff games for the Golden Hawks in 2022 and 2023 before coming to the blue and gold.

Springer, a 5-foot-10 defensive back, made his Lancer debut in 2023 and made 23 appearances in the blue and gold during the regular season, making 46.5 tackles while being named a U SPORTS first-team all-Canadian and OUA first-team all-star in 2024. He had five tackles in two playoff games this season, and had six tackles and an interception in the first game of 2025 against Laurier.

John, a 5-foot-10 defensive back, has played in all 24 regular season games since his 2023 debut, recording 136.5 tackles in the process. The Felton, MN native was named an OUA second-team all-star this season, as he put up 49 tackles in the regular season and 23 in the playoffs. His 38 solo tackles ranked fourth in the OUA this season.

The 2026 CFL Draft is scheduled for April 28.
