The University of Windsor Lancers track and field team took to University Park, Pennsylvania to compete in the Penn State National Open on January 30-31.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
Isabella Goveia continued her impressive fourth-year campaign with a sixth-place finish in the 600m with a 1:29.61 time, adding another Lancer all-time top 10 berth to her resume.
Joelle Olla also grabbed an all-time top 10 mark with a 2:51.59 time in the 1000m to place tenth.
Sian Kniaziew earned a spot in the top ten of the 3000m with a ninth-place finish in 9:59.98, with
Ainsley Rocheleau coming in at 10:03.01.
Ella Heredi's time of 1:33.37 earned her a sixth-place finish in the 600m.
Alyshia Alkerton paced the Lancers in the mile with a 4:51.44 time to place 14
th, followed closely by
Samara Quanz (4:51.64),
Joelle Olla (4:51.90), and
Natalie Fortier (4:52.22).
MEN'S RESULTS
Noah Costa moved into the top 10 all-time Lancer 1000m times with a 2:24.55 time to place seventh, and
Abdullahi Abdullahi completed the race in 2:26.37. Costa placed seventh in the mile with a 4:05.79 mark, with Abdullahi not far behind at 4:07.64.
Noah Waldmann shone with a second-place finish in the 600m, crossing the finish line in 1:18.95 and moving into the Lancer all-time top 10 in the process.
Kai Luong placed sixth with a 1:20.60 time.
Kade Campbell represented the blue and gold with a 2:28.66 time in the 1000m, good for seventh place.
Andreas Pardalis had a strong performance 3000m with an 8:34.55 time for sixth place. In the field events,
AJ Stanat threw 17.96m in shot put to claim sixth place.
