The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team, currently ranked #8 in Canada, are set to host their arch rivals, the Western Mustangs on Wednesday night at 8pm at the St. Denis Centre.

Chris Oliver and his team are coming off a strong start to their season as they sit at 6-2 in conference play.
Over the holiday break, the Lancers travelled to West Palm Beach, Florida for the tournament at Northwood College. In the tournament, the faced Northwood (#4, NAIA), coached by Rollie Massimino and Cedarville (#8, NAIA).

Men's Opening Tip
The Lancer Men are ranked #8 in Canada and is in second place in the OUA West after completing a 6-2 OUA East-West inter-lock schedule. 6-2 is the best record for the team in inter-lock since the 2006-07 season that resulted in an OUA West and OUA Provincial Championship.
Western is 5-3 in the OUA West and are currently unranked. Western has knocked the Lancers out of the playoffs the last two seasons and the teams have combined for the last 3 OUA West regular season pennants.
Last season, the Lancers and Mustangs split in the regular season, each winning at home, but the Mustangs beat the Lancers in the OUA West Championship Final.

Over the break, the Lancer Men travelled to Florida for the Northwood Invitational where they split the competition to finish third overall. Windsor fell to the host Northwood 65-50, before defeating Cedarville 89-82 in the consolation final.
Tip-off for the men's game is 8pm with the women's game preceeding it at 6pm. Admission is free for all University of Windsor students (with valid ID); $8 for general admission and $5 for seniors and youths.
