Lancers to host Badgers in OUA West conference play on Saturday

The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team, currently ranked #7 in Canada, will host the Brock Badgers in conference play on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre.

Head Coach Chris Oliver and his team are coming off big victory over their rivals, the Western Mustangs on Wednesday night in Windsor. The Lancers defeated the Mustangs 77-72 thanks to some late game heroics from rookie point guard Josh Collins.

Over the holiday break, the Lancers travelled to West Palm Beach, Florida for the tournament at Northwood College. In the tournament, the faced Northwood (#4, NAIA), coached by Rollie Massimino and Cedarville (#8, NAIA).

Below is a preview of Saturday night's game against the Brock Badgers.

Men's Opening Tip
The Lancer Men are ranked #7 in Canada and sit tied for first place in the OUA West Division after completing a 6-2 OUA East-West inter-lock schedule. 

6-2 is the best record for the team in inter-lock since the 2006-07 season that resulted in an OUA West and OUA Provincial Championship.
 
Last season, the Lancers defeated the Badgers in both their meetings in Windsor and St. Catherines.

Tip-off for the men's game is 8pm with the women's game preceeding it at 6pm. Admission is free for all University of Windsor students (with valid ID); $8 for general admission and $5 for seniors and youths.
