The Lancer track & field team wrapped up the 2023-24 season this weekend at the U SPORTS championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
 
The blue and gold brought home four medals including three silver medals and one bronze. Overall, the Lancer men finished sixth overall with 42 points, while the women placed ninth with 20 points. The Guelph Gryphons claimed the overall team titles for both the men and women for the sixth straight year. 
 
FULL RESULTS

All of Windsor's medals came on day three of the competition. After finishing fourth in the men's weight throw with a season's best 17.04m on Friday, AJ Stanat claimed silver in the men's shot put with a throw of 16.85m.
 
The men's relay teams had a successful final day of competition, bringing home two medals. The team of Ryan Mahabir, Cameron John-Dunslow, Ben Tilson, and Weagbe Mombo placed second overall with a season best time of 1:27.75.
 
Tilson was also part of the 4x400m team that claimed bronze with a time of 3:19.03. Rounding out that team was Noah Waldmann, Paul Popescu, and Will McBride.
 
Senior jumper Mandy Brunet won the only medal on the women's side in her final competition with the blue and gold. Brunet won silver in the women's triple jump with a jump of 12.57m.
