The Lancer cross country team traveled to South Bend, Indiana Friday to compete in the Joe Paine Invitational.

The blue and gold competed in the gold and open divisions and saw impressive finishes in both divisions.

On the women's side,
Madelyn Eybergen finished fourth overall in the gold division with a time of 17:11.2 to help lead the blue and gold to an overall 14th place team finish.
Â
Additional Lancer scorers included
Joelle Olla (18:32.0), Sian Kniazien (18:35.5),
Natalie Fortier (19:00.6), and
Maren Kasunich (19:14.6).

In the women's 5k open run, Ainsley Rouchleau finished the course in a time of 19:03.9, while
Layla Masse was right behind her in with a time of 19:08.4.

Agatha Godlewski was next across the line at 19:25.8,
Julia Scarrow followed at 19:51.3, Alex Jobin was next at 19:58. 5, and
Ella Heredi finished 20:43.7.

Overall, the Lancers finished 7th overall in the team standings.

For the men, Windsor also placed 7th overall in the gold division Jacon Fitzpatrick ran the 8km course in a time of 24:43.3, while
Luke Mawhinney was mere seconds behind at 24:47.3. Nicholas Costa (24:57.8),
Andreas Pardalis (25:22.9), and Max Fazecash (25.52.2) rounded out the scoring.

In the men's 8km open race, scorers included
Ethan Graves (26:14.1), Sebastian Glaser (26:20.9),
Noah Waldmann (26.53.5), Pat Kariuki (27:35.5), and
Quinten Marsh-Lansard (27:33.4) to finish 8th overall as a team.
